Alonzo Llorens is a man of many gifts. A corporate attorney, Llorens has built a successful career handling transactions on behalf of clients ranging from Fortune 500 companies to start-ups. Inspired by his lifelong passion for literature, and counting Richard Wright, Tom Clancy and Robert Ludlum among his all-time favorite authors, Llorens has written his debut novel, “The Mirror”. The book is a swiftly moving whodunit about a powerful and clandestine group’s plot to elect the first Black U.S. President.
A frequent speaker on the lecture circuit, Llorens is also the author of “The MBE’s Guide to Raising Capital,” a financial guide explaining the various stages of the capital raising process and the steps Minority Business Enterprises should consider taking in order to successfully pursue such an endeavor. Llorens also wrote a chapter for the highly regarded Inside The Minds series entitled “Private Equity and Venture Capital Trends in a Turbulent Economy” (2009), and co-authored Volume 83 of the Bureau of National Affairs Corporate Practice Series entitled “Shareholder Proposals.”
A graduate of Howard University School of Law and a former lawyer with both the U.S. Department of the Treasury’s Honors Program and the U.S. Securities and Exchange Commission’s Division of Corporation Finance, Llorens is a partner with the national law firm of Gordon and Rees LLP in Atlanta, GA.
He is married and the father of twin children.
